I thought that the members of the Forum might like to see a current work in progress. Painted on vellum it is about two thirds completed and is for my future wife and so is very romantic a fact for which I make no apologies smile It is also a test to myself to pratice my painting skills and try to move the bench mark higher both in design and execution. I will be adding to the page as the work progresses and will show aspects of the work in more detail at later stages.

Andy,

Words fail….

This is truly stunning and the detail… the delicacy… it is almost etherial (sp?)

I look forward to seeing this masterpiece develop… gives me thoughts for a library painting down the line… but I doubt it would ever rival this beauty!

One question (if I may presume)... will your arms and her father’s be marshalled together for this?

Gob-smacked!

Art, Andrew, becomes magic when it has nothing to hide .............

The cowslips tall her pensioners be:

In their gold coats spots you see;

Those be rubies, fairy favours,

In those freckles live their savours:

I must go seek some dewdrops here

And hang a pearl in every cowslip’s ear.

You are, her Oberon.

You spotted snakes with double tongue,

Thorny hedgehogs, be not seen;

Newts and blind-worms, do no wrong,

Come not near our fairy queen.

Incredibly intricate. It reminds me of an Elizabethan tapestry; though possessing far greater detail.

Extraordinary!!! Exquisite!!!  It appears you are thinking of every smallest detail that any maiden would ever hope to have her true love send to her in such a piece of art that comes from his very heart for her. Its’ beauty speaks volumes of your love for Ce.  Bravo!

I will echo all the complimentary comments above Andy, you have an extraordinary talent and we are privileged that you are prepared to share your skills with us.

We will, I’m sure, look on in awe as this project develops.

Best of luck for you and Ce.
