Off topic - what is the book collection? Great books of the western world?
On topic: Are the letters done as print out of digital or hand painted in Canada?
Kathy, off-topic - those are indeed the Britannica Great Books. My dad worked for Britannica for a time in the early 70s (top salesman in Canada), before moving on to other things. I’ve got a soft spot for Britannicas. You might be able to see a Boutell’s Heraldry on the top shelf.
On topic - there are two options available. One, like mine, has two pages - a computer printed text page, and a hand painted, hand calligraphed page with the artwork. There were even some preliminary sketches by the artist in light pencil on the reverse. What you can’t see is the embossed CHA seal. The other option is for a larger single sheet (about the size of my two pages combined) that is entirely hand done, text and all, with the arms in the centre and French and English text surrounding. I’ve seen several examples in person and they are gorgeous, but it would have cost about another $1200 or so.
I’m content that I saved the money, especially since on the first text page they sent me, my late mother’s name was misspelled. It was fixed easily enough, but I shudder to think what would have happened if the entire thing had been hand-done.
Off topic - I have the set which I bought while stationed in Pensacola in the mid 1980’s. I love the synopticon which is included.

If you browse the CHA register (and I know we all do), you can see images of the LPs at the bottom of the blazon and symbolism page in each entry.
There are of course some other documents besides grants, including confirmations of blazons for arms, badges, and flags already in use by military units and the like. And, if you’re lucky enough to have HM The Queen as your colonel-in-chief, as the Royal 22e Regiment (The Van Doos) does, you get special attention, and perhaps an autograph.
