Maybe its just me but I don’t like it. The Blazon says the saltire Gules is supposed to be fimbriated Argent but I don’t see that. I think they tried to do too much in a small space. The personal arms were adopted when he was an auxiliary of NY so they filled the entire shield. I think he should have modified them when he went to Camden. Just my opinion.
I have to agree. It’s not a bad start, and a good herald could help him make it work.
WSW… Changing the black outline of thesaltire to white fimbration white fimbration would help a bit, but still quite busy.
Maybe clerics with episcopal ambitions should be encouraged to see how well their personal designs will work when impaled, before settling on their design. At least in this case his new diocese doesn’t also have arms based on the New York model—that would be terminal eyestrain.
The Camden diocesan (??) arms to Dexter are quite admirably interesting!
Way too busy and not that well emblazoned in this version…just my two cents worth.
I agree, to cramped and many Tincture breaks Red on a Blue Field and what appears to be Golden Swords ontop of a Silver Windmill.

I agree. The Camden arms look copied-and-pasted. (The gold effect on the crosses looks computerized and different from all the other or in the emblazonment.) And I think the bishop’s personal arms are a disaster. It reminds me of a dribble sand castle where everything is precariously slopped on top of everything else. (IMHO.)
While the particular rendition of the diocesan arms may be only average (but still IMO quite adequate), the design itself is IMO still intriguing—and admirably simple compared to the personal impalement.
