Thanks for posting. There are some interesting entries here. I’ve never seen a semee of waves before. The use of Ganesh was interesting, as was the inheritance of an arms through one person’s maternal uncle via a will.
Canada is a strange and wonderful place! - and it’s heraldry, if occasionally unexpected, is equally wonderful.
Glancing through a few of the images, I noticed a number of "registrations" as opposed to grants, with no mention of the origin of the arms.
The inheritance of BOTH the arms of George Ralph Nye and Elaine Astrid Nye by their children Ian Ross Nye and Keith McLane Nye without quartering is interesting.
In both cases Ian Ross Nye’s arms are differenced with a label (temporary) while Keith McLane Nye’s arms are differenced with a border or (presumably permanent).
In both cases, it is stated that Ian Ross Nye will inherit the undifferenced arms of his father AND mother upon their death.

The source of the registration is found at the bottom of the Blazon, Symbolism & History page.
For example, the information for James Cranswick Tory is at

Ah! - thanks!
I like the Lion-beaver (Yes they are so blasoned, upper body of a Lion and lower body of a Beaver) supporters of Frank Frederick Fagan Lt-Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador.
