Not surprising, coming from a guy whose shield looks like an airport warning flag! wink

Actually, I thought that Colin’s arms looked like the End Zone at the University of Tennessee.

Let’s you know I’m coming.

Whatever Mr. Maplethorpe decides I do want to compliment Sandy on the treleafoil©. I am a sucker for new, creative charges and that’s an excellent one.

Well, it appears I got it all wrong with this one. Except for the trefoils which his family finds amusing, he was none too happy with what was presented. All he wanted was something similar to his BS version but green and gold. After an hour and a half on the phone and a couple of faxes later, we finally settled to something he liked. Now all I need to do is find some use for the others.

Arms: Parted per fess nebuly Vert and Or, three trefoils erably slipped counterchanged.

Crest: A Demi lion Or, armed and langued Gules holding in it’s dexter paw a trefoil erably slipped Vert.

Motto: TO EACH HIS OWN

Again, many thanks for the input. It’s certainly been of value for this one.

HA! The best part of designing arms for a client in my personal experience! LOL. Just when you think you have it exactly where it would be best ... they offer their opinion! LOL.

I love it Sandy. Good job. This design is clean, simple and clearly heraldic. And most importantly the one the cleint wants. Well done. smile

Beautiful!

What a joy to find a client who wants less, not more!

It’s simple, easily recognizable across a battlefield, and not too cluttered.  I like it!  I must admit, though, that I didn’t see this design coming.  What a surprise!  :D

I should add (and to answer a question in another forum) that he was approached him with the idea of an erably partition which was promptly turned down for reasons of his own. He also turned down any allusion to villiages, preferring to have something similar the BS version that he has.

This final design is the best of all of them, unique but simple and yet still easily identifiable with clean lines.
