I just finished a wonderful family crest painting on leather.

This was a very enjoyable project - I love details ...

so this crest gave me the opportunity to bring out all the

intricate details of the family crest.

It is painted with high quality artist acrylic on cow leather

That is absolutely beautiful. Leather seems to be a very good medium for such work. Is it going to be hung like a tapestry, or do they have some other plans for it?

Tapestry would be a great idea too - but so far I know it will be framed, this will add even more. Yes- I love working on leather ... the texture gives the painting such a rustic - sophisticated feel.

That is truly a beautiful piece.  I love the look of it on leather.

Apart from one minor nit—it’s arms, not a family crest—really nice work!

Are you free to identify whose arms these are?

Thanks for the compliment Michael - because this has been painted for a client of mine, I prefer not to give out any closer information.
