..........:p
I think this design of Mike’s would read better symbolically if the Masonic references were in base.
That way it would read, from top to bottom, Root-River-Masons.
Of course that comes at the price of losing the current reading of Square Root, more specifically Square-River-Root.

Patrick, the drive on my newer computer crashed on Friday. And I can’t seem to save stuff in jpeg format on the old one I’m using now. Have you tried clicking on the images and selecting copy instead of trying to drag them? Not sure if there’s much of a difference.
Click the pics to enlagre them:

I really like the middle one in the top threesome here
Something a little different.

More lovely stuff. I’ve been trying to erase the triangle from the earlier all-seeing eye, which would make it acceptable. However, I’m not really an artist and my ham fisted attempts are, well, ugly at best. Could someone with more skill attempt it?
Mike, I like your last design, but once again there’s the triangle thingie around the eye. Howzabout this?

Although I feel a little uncomfortable with putting the eye of God below the allusion to the Lodge. I’ll switch it around and try again.

Trent! It worked this time and I have your images. Thanks!
Three towers, three bells, three pillars, roots, etc.
Reversing the Azure and Argent fields may make these arms more Masonic looking.

Here are some more given "The Treatment". I don’t have a suitable graphic of a helm in profile yet, so forgive the fabled Blue Badger sitting crosswise.

1st, Eric Hall/Perdue’s early entry (which I happen to like a lot), 2nd Trent’s recent "Bells" shield, and 3rd Trent’s "Columns" redone so all the columns are argent and they are the three principal orders of architecture, Doric, Ionian and Corinthian.
I’m partial to the second depiction myself.

Me to, but "mirrored" (i.e. the bend flipped regular, not sinister)
Here, after much ham-handed tomfoolery, is one with the crest that David Pritchard suggested: a tower masoned Argent issuing an all-seeing eye in splendour Or.

At least, that’s the general idea. It looks much better on my computer than it translates after having been uploaded to photobucket and jpeg’ed.
Anyhow, friends, time is drawing to a close (I’ll bring choices to my lodge on June 5th). Rather than waste even more bandwidth by copying these things to yet another thread and setting up a poll, please just go through this thread, pick your top 3 or four shield designs and crest designs and then post that here. I’ll do all the tabulation. I would like to take, say, three shield designs to lodge to have them select from.

I prefer my crest design, with the port coloured Or. Representing the entry to the Masonic fraternity.

I prefer this shield design by Michael Swanson.
I agree with David P. on the shield.

What David said….:D
Take care,

I somehow missed the port Or. So here it is:

Somthing more like that, David?
