I know you mentioned "Phantom Comics" but I almost get the idea that these might be used in a modern naval wargame simulation. Am I close to the mark at all with that guess?

Well I guess I just have a creative imagination. So the answer is no they are not used in any naval wargame simulation. But perhaps if I ever get around to write that Book ... I migth use them.
