Just a quick note to say that The Heraldry Society is holding its Biennial Congress at the John Foster Hall on the Oadby Campus of the University of Leicester from Thursday, 21st August to Sunday, 24th August 2014.  The theme of this year’s congress is ‘Ricardian Heraldry’.

All accommodation is in modern single study bedrooms with en suite facilities with each floor being serviced by lifts and each floor having its own kitchen.  The cost of the congress includes all accommodation, meals in John Foster Hall’s dining hall, plus a coach trip to the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre on Friday, 22nd August which is 529th anniversary of the Battle of Bosworth Field. Traditionally, we always have formal dinner on the evening of the Saturday of the congress.

Running along aside our stay at Leicester there is to be an exhibition of heraldic items of interest.

Those delegates attending the XXXI International Congress of Genealogical and Heraldic Sciences at Oslo between the 13th and 17th August might wish to stop over in the UK to attend our congress as well.

The cost per delegate is £290.00 (pounds sterling).
