Many of these sites have found their way into the forums elsewhere in discussion. But I am too lazy to look all of them up here..

Admirable effort which hasn’t been active for about a year or so.  Single person did a great job starting and making this a decent reference area, but it is more or less defunct.

The White Shield

Relatively new Organization started by Andrew Stewart Jamieson, a very talented heraldic artist.  Unless something has changed recently, membership is by invitation only to the "private forum."  Some folks active in other forums are active here as well.

Provides registration services and design assistance to US armigers.  Run by David Wooten.  Publishes their registration.  Unfortunately, their registration is not online or searchable - which I’d love to see happen, even if it was made available for a "membership fee" of some sort.

Run by two armorial enthusiasts and relatively new endeavor.  I’m a supporter of this site - they are online as well as published.  Relatively inexpensive and truly international - it would be nice if more folks availed themselves of the service.

Sad to hear about the US Heraldic Registry, but thank you for your input. :D Like I said before, I just wanted to see if any of them are worth my time and it looks like most of them are. I’ll admit, i’m still a little over whelmed with all the information that is out there. lol

So here’s my two cent impression of the sites you mentioned:

To pin some accuracy on Kathy’s statement about the USHR, last I checked it’s apparently been inactive for a year and a half (if I can be trusted to count correctly). Many many AHS members have their arms registered with the USHR site (best free registration site since the dawn of the internet).

As to White Shield, it’s list of members lends it credibility but that’s about all I know. It’s sponsor and some few prominent members of FWS did retire their accounts on the AHS forums for unknown reasons (at least to me) roundabouts the same time a few months ago. If I rec’d an invite to join (if I somehow magically developed noteworthy artistic talent), I very probably wouldn’t turn it down. Of course that doesn’t mean I’d retire my AHS account. :D

I recently came across this new site; The College of Hereditary Nobility of Hungary - Matricula Armorum http://www.hungarianheraldry.org/the-registrar/

I noticed they offer rematriculation of arms, grants of armorial bearings and letters patent, presumably for Hungarians or persons of Hungarian descent. Although this doesn’t seem to be clear. Neither can I see where, or even if, there is any legitimate fount of honour.
