Are the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) and the Anglican Rite "Chair of Saint Peter" compatible? My apologies, but religious third orders (both regulars or seculars) and personal ordinariates are things with which I am not familiar.

yes the OFS is open to all Catholics in communion with the See of Rome reguardless of rite or useage.

"WELCOME HOME!" Brett.
Will you be applying to the permanent diaconate?

I haven’t excluded the possibility, but I wont be eligible until 2022. In the mean time I will look into a degree in religious ed & pastoral theology.

The two are completely different things, so yes, they are compatible. A very crude analogy would be liken membership in the Secular Franciscans as membership in a local gym and membership in an ordinariate as citizenship in a particular city. There’s plenty of holes in that analogy, but it suffices to show they are different and compatible things.

There’s a minimum age of 35 for ordination as a permanent deacon in the Catholic Church. Presumably Brett is 26-ish?
Ah. Thank you.
