The modern final form of the arms were adpoted in 1993. The arms had previously been used in heraldic form by King Zog I, as well as the short-reigning Prince of Albania, Whilhelm von Wied (or zu Wied, I can not recall).
I will post these arms in the foregin arms section soon.
BTW, the arms were based on the seal and banner of George Kastrioti (Skanderbeg).

The seal that started it all
btw, albania in albania is Shqipërisë (land of the eagle) and albanians are called "Sons of the eagle"

Once again, heraldry is a science as well as an art so you can’t justify doing what you please in the name of freedom of expression. If you want freedom of expression then use a logo. Heraldry has restrictions.
I’m sure my client will do what he pleases, call it what he pleases and use it as he pleases, after all it’s his money , eh,er, well…. my money now, but now what of the original post, how’s the shield?:D
The shield looks more like a tabbard than a shield to me. The shading is nice though!
It does at that!
o.k., I also gave him this, and one other option……

I like that style shield as well. I also like that overall design much more than the original.
Unless I misread something, the client’s arms aren’t coming close to those of the Royal Arms of Albania, they’re really both violating the tinture rules/custom. The Albanian arms were used as an example of tincture on tincture if I’m not mistaken.
Your welcome, I read on several threads that Mohamed stated his intent and thought perhaps you started sketches already. I’m also a cartoonist but do not practice it much anymore. I started dabbling around with my dads graphic program and felt inspired again and just recently started really getting into it and discovered all these artistic tool that would normally fill a room, all on this desk top, I still have a great deal to learn with all the brushes, paints and layers.
Believe me, it is just like cartooning but very condensed in the tool box if you know what I mean (and not as messy)
On other note; I believe you are referring to the actual Albania COA that I posted as an example of the broken rule of color on color.

I too me thinks, so also does the client actually, it is the one he picked.
Yes, you are correct amigo, that is the actual Albania COA as an example.

He’s no longer violating the tincture rule (He choose the shield and the bend sinister you added right?)

Mohamed, If you can send me some reference on the style of shield, I’ll tweak what is needed also if you have any helm style reference, I can start on that as well
I also can do a painted-look version if you prefer…
